The hours listed above are the operating times for Lake Thunderbird's park office. The park office is closed 12-1pm daily for lunch. The park office is closed on state holidays with the exception of Memorial Day, Independence Day & Labor Day.

The park is open for camping 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in designated camping areas.

Lake Thunderbird State Park Discovery Cove Nature Center's hours of operation are 9:30am-4:30pm Wednesday through Sunday. Lake Thunderbird State Park Discovery Cove Nature Center is closed Monday and Tuesday.

Equestrian trails are open daily from dawn until dusk.
