Tidewater Winery & Event Center
Tidewater Winery & Event Center
Built in the 1920s during Oklahoma's original oil boom by John D. Rockefeller's oil company (later acquired by J. Paul Getty) to serve the educational needs of the local workforce, this 8,000 square foot historic school building has been restored and transformed into one of Oklahoma's premier wineries and vineyards. The Tidewater Winery owners have accomplished a half-million dollar renovation of the historic Tidal School building, located two miles south of Drumright on Highway 16.
The winery features a tasting room and gift shop, banquet room and outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard. It is only a short drive off America's Mother Road, Route 66. Visitors will find a great selection including an American merlot, cabernet sauvignon, red rush, white zinfandel, Sweet Jimmie Jane, chardonnay, pinot grigio and Way White. Wine tasting and tours are available.
Tidewater Winery can accommodate the whole family with a handicap lift chair located at the front entrance.
