Beacon Drive-In Theater
The Beacon Drive-In Theater is one of the oldest drive-in movie theaters in Oklahoma and has been operated by the Powell family for three generations. The theater was built in late 1949 and opened on April 22, 1950, as a venture of Video Theaters and A.R. Powell, Sr. and is still showing movies today. Drive up in your car and enjoy the relaxation of watching a piece of cinema in comfort.
This historic drive-in theater is located just off Highway 77 in Guthrie and is a great place to bring the family for a unique experience. It was even featured as a filming location in the 1996 movie "Twister." The Beacon Drive-In offers concessions, so grab a tub of popcorn and head back to your car or stretch out on the grass on a blanket to enjoy the weather. The Beacon is a cash-only establishment.
