The Bivin Garden
What began as a landscaped flower garden in Shidler has now become a six-acre tract of spacious lawns, numerous flower beds and hundreds of trees and shrubs. The focal points at the Bivin Garden are rock gardens with decorative rocks from Africa and South America, as well as ornamental ponds with fountains and hundreds of plants. You may even come across a peacock or two roaming through the gardens. Something of interest can be seen at all times from spring to fall, but the optimum time to visit the garden is between mid-May and mid-July. The garden also features shady areas with benches or picnic tables.
