Jim Hall Lake - Nichols Park
Located south of Henryetta in Nichols Park, Jim Hall Lake offers opportunities for fishing, swimming and manually-powered watercraft. This historic park was developed between 1938 and 1941 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the National Park Service. Facilities include floating fishing docks, primitive campsites, picnic areas and outdoor grills. A covered fishing dock with good handicapped access is also available.
A sandy beach area gives families a comfortable place to swim and relax while the lake offers 450 surface acres and 11 miles of shoreline. The lake, also known as Lake Henryetta, is home to several species of fish, including bass, crappie, catfish and an abundance of sunfish. Camping and boating permits are available at City Hall.
A 54-hole disc golf course and sand volleyball court provide recreation opportunities for young and old. The park has another 300 acres with trails for off-road enthusiasts that are accessible only by all-terrain vehicles.
