JD’s Café & Cafeteria
JD’s Café & Cafeteria
Down-home cooking is the name of the game at JD’s Café & Cafeteria in Ada. The folks at this family-owned institution have been serving up country favorites in Pontotoc County since 1955, and it’s easy to see why the locals keep coming back. Open for breakfast and lunch, JD’s gives new meaning to the phrase “comfort food.”
Drop by in the morning and dig into homemade biscuits and gravy, hash browns fresh off the griddle and eggs cooked just the way you like. If you like your mornings sweet, try one of JD’s deliciously gooey cinnamon rolls. (You might want to share this jumbo-sized favorite, but no one will judge you if you eat the whole thing yourself.)
Lunchtime diners will find plenty to love, too. Take a seat and order off the menu, or line up for cafeteria-style service—either way, you’ll want to bring your appetite. Feast on mouthwatering chicken fried steak, homemade chili, cooked-to-order burgers and much more. Wash it all down with a glass of sweet tea and you’ll be ready to catch a show at the nearby McSwain Theatre.
