Rock Creek Bridge

Address:
1200 W Dewey Ave
Sapulpa, OK 74066

Put in place in 1921, the charming Rock Creek Bridge is one of the state’s best remaining examples of the steel-truss architecture that was popular in the pre-World War II era. It originally served the Ozark Trail, a network of locally maintained roads and highways that existed before the federal highway system. The bridge became part of Route 66 in 1926 before being bypassed in 1952. It’s no longer open to traffic but it can be accessed via foot. While exploring on foot, you'll notice it’s quite a bit narrower than most drivers are used to these days.
