Today, Chickasha High School seniors tag the back of a wall, located on old grounds of the Borden General Hospital, where Hellen Keller once visited World War II troops. In 1943, Army Service Forces' Eighth Service Command got in their dose of daily exercise by battling it out in a round of handball at this very same wall. Once the hospital turned this section of their campus over to the high school, a new tradition was born. Since at least as far back as 1957, high school seniors have signed and spray painted their names on the back of the handball court to celebrate their academic victory. Eventually, someone started painting the annual football schedule on the front of the wall. One year, Darry Shaw's Monkey Business Signs visited Chickasha High School to create a permanent football mural to accompany the ever-changing schedule. Although the season schedule and signatures changes every year, the Chickasha football mural always remains the same.
