Bigheart Day
Bigheart Day
Bigheart Day in Barnsdall is a time for residents and visitors to enjoy good food, entertainment and family-friendly fun. This is an exciting day of games, arts and crafts, vendor booths, live music and a parade. Named after Chief Bigheart of the Osage Tribe, Bigheart Day is a citywide event.
Take the kids to a fishing contest at Lake Waxhoma, compete in an old-fashioned sack race or shoot your luck at a three-pointer challenge. Stick around for concession booths, the annual car and motorcycle show and the popular Bigheart Day Idol Search, featuring local talent competing on stage for the top prize. Other events include tricycle race, frog and turtle races and a hula hoop competition. Don't miss the festival's fireworks, featuring a stunning display of lighting, sound and pyrotechnics after the sun goes down.
