Chickasaw Nation White House
The Chickasaw White House was once considered a mansion on the Oklahoma frontier. The property was the home of Chickasaw Governor Douglas Hancock Johnston and his family from 1898 to 1971. Now under the care of the Chickasaw Nation, the Chickasaw White House has been lovingly restored to its full grandeur, just as it was circa 1900. The home contains unusual features for its era including 14-ft ceilings, cherry mahogany fireplace mantels, crystal chandeliers and a dance floor.
