District Choctaw Chief's House
Step back to an earlier time with a visit to the Dictrict Choctaw Chief's House in Swink. This renovated 1837 home of once belonged to District Choctaw Chief Thomas LeFlore and David Randall, the 1902 town founder. The home was built by the US government as prescribed by the 1830 Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the oldest house in the state of Oklahoma still on its original site. Restored in 2003, the log house features four rooms with dog trot. Donations appreciated.
