Holding the Claim
Located inside Dillingham Gardens on the north side of Government Springs Park North, Holding the Claim commemorates the largest land run in US history. The statue was H Holden's fourth monument and was dedicated on April 17, 1993. Holding the Claim depicts a settler holding his claim as he waits for his family to arrive and is a companion piece to Boomer, another of Holden's land run sculptures located at the Stride Bank Center Plaza.
