The Muskogee Area Arts Council commissioned Palmer Studios to spruce up the looks of the Square Deal Music & Sound building in 2001 with this “Postcard Mural.” After the tear-down of its original building, the interior wall serving as the west side of Square Deal looked barren and grisly. Dr. Bob Palmer and his students painted this set of 11 historic scenes on the building’s original plaster, depicting aspects of Muskogee history.
