Boardstand Trail
Boardstand Trail
The nearly nine mile long Boardstand Trail runs northwest to southeast with one point connected to the Old Military Road Trail and the other concluding at Talimena Drive. This beautiful hiking trail is best for intermediate to expert level hikers, though visitors are also welcome to ride horses through the area. After proceeding for one mile, guests will come to Cedar Creek, which is generally easy to cross. Be sure to keep an eye out for the white trail markers, because the Boardstand Trail will temporarily intersect with the Indian Nations Trail that is marked with yellow. The most intense stretch of trail is located at the end of the trail near the Talimena Drive, where you'll cross over several creeks before climbing up a steep, rocky path.
