Get ready for unease as the Ponca Playhouse brings a tale of obsessive fandom to life in "Misery." Based on the novel by Stephen King, William Goldman's play tells the story of Paul Sheldon, a successful romance novelist who is rescued from a car crash by his "number one fan." He wakes up bandaged and captive in Annie Wilkes' secluded home. With growing terror, Paul realizes that Annie has no intention of letting him go. The irate Annie forces Paul to write as if his life depends on it—and it does.
