Oklahoma City's Lyric Theatre will serve up a production of the musical "Waitress" at the Plaza Theatre. Follow the story of Jenna, a waitress and pie chef from a small town. This determined young woman puts her expert pie-making skills to work in order to win a baking contest and escape her unhappy marriage as she pursues an affair with the new doctor in town. The musical, written and directed by Jessie Nelson with music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, is based on the 2007 film by the same name.
