"Pastimes at the Fort" Living History Program
Learn how Fort Gibson soldiers filled moments of boredom during the early 1800s at the "Pastimes at the Fort" living history event. Far away from home and friends, the soldiers had to keep themselves occupied with various sources of entertainment. Guests are encouraged to participate in some of these pastimes such as playing cards or a quick game of baseball. The event is held in Fort Gibson's Historic Site's stockade for maximum immersion this October.
