Head to McAlester this October for a celebration of German heritage at the first-ever McAlester Oktoberfest. This festival will fill the city's downtown area with food, drinks, fun and activities that celebrate German culture. Stop by the Biergarten for bratwurst and pretzels or take part in games like the poker run, disc golf and a corn hole tournament. There will also be art shows with works for sale as well as Halloween activities like trunk-or-treat and haunted houses and trails. The McAlester Oktoberfest is free to attend and runs for two days, giving you plenty of time to experience everything it has to offer.
