Celebrate Okeene's history as a German settlement during the town's annual Germanfest. Kick-off the festivities with the tapping of the kegs at noon, then dig into some delicious German delicacies. Weiner schnitzel on a pretzel bun or Jager schnitzel, brats, pulled pork, German potato salad and Bavarian kraut are a few of the food items served. Bierocks, case noodles and German desserts will also be available for purchase at the Germanfest Bakeoff Contest.

Okeene Germanfest proudly serves German beer from Ayinger, Germany, imported for the festival. Specially brewed for the fall season, Ayinger Oktoberfest-Marzen is a crowd favorite. Other events during the day include a German dessert bake-off, stein races, a German costume contest and the Germanfest Dog Show.
