Once again, the Broken Arrow Rose Festival is joining forces with the Chalk It Up Art Festival to provide a spectacular family-friendly fun weekend. Friday evening, Broken Arrow invites you to its beautiful Rose District on Main Street. Activities include Chalk It Up’s chalk drawing competition, the Rose Festival’s Annual Rose Show competition, artist and garden vendors, food trucks, a kid zone and an Art Contest with Art Exhibit in the Arts@302 Gallery.

The Festival concludes on Sunday with Rose Kites over Broken Arrow at Nienhuis Park. This festival includes free kites to decorate with roses or whatever you like. Tulsa Wind Riders Kite Club will fly their large kites, have a candy drop, and demonstrate kite fighting. Also check out the huge Historical Kite Exhibit featuring kites from the 1800’s and World War II. Pack a picnic or enjoy the convenience of the food trucks and enjoy watching huge kites soar in the Broken Arrow sky.
