Watch top collegiate cowboys and cowgirls from across the region compete in traditional rodeo events at this year's SWOSU Rodeo in Weatherford. Contestants from Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri will compete for top prizes in this action-packed rodeo. Make your way to the SWOSU Rodeo for exciting arena competition that will include bareback riding, calf roping, breakaway roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and bull riding. The top 10 in each event will return for the championship round Saturday night.
Weatherford's SWOSU Rodeo is a sanctioned event of the central plains region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. The SWOSU Rodeo draws over 600 cowboys and cowgirls that compete for a wide range of prizes that include money, buckles, saddles and an opportunity to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo.
The event is produced by the Beutler & Son Rodeo Company and takes place at the B.O.P. Ram Rodeo Grounds at Don Mitchell Arena, which is the Southwestern team's primary practice site.
