Feast on loaves of fresh baked bread at Spring Bake Day held at the Fort Gibson Historic Site. Everyone is welcomed out to this unique and delicious experience. Follow the delectable smell of freshly baked bread and snag a loaf at noon and 3:30pm. Afterwards, take a tour of the museum and grounds where you'll learn more about the first army post in Indian Territory.

In operation from 1824 to 1890, this historic site encompasses 80 acres of grounds with 29 historic buildings and numerous archaeological ruins. A National Historic Landmark, official National Trail of Tears Site and a designated "American Treasure," Fort Gibson features a museum, visitors center, book shop and numerous period rooms.
