Visit Wewoka for a fun-filled day at the Sorghum Festival. This fall festival celebrates Wewoka and its rich history of sorghum production. Sorghum is a sweetener, similar to molasses, that was used in pioneer times. The Seminole Nation Museum grounds will host sorghum mill demonstrations throughout the day, transforming sorghum cane transform into syrup.

This exciting day starts with a parade full of decorated floats, antique tractors, show horses and marching bands in downtown Wewoka. After, visit the antique car show to admire classic cars of all makes and models. 

Browse over 100 craft and merchandise vendor booths for one-of-a-kind handmade items, toys, clothing and more. Stop by food vendors for kettle corn, Indian tacos and fry bread, hamburgers and other tasty treats. Children will enjoy activities like pony rides, stick horse rodeo and inflatables, as well as live entertainment and an art and photography show at the Wewoka Chamber. 

Bring the kids to see the parade, learn about the South's natural sweetener and visit the historic city of Wewoka. With so many activities and events, all ages are sure to have a great time at the Sorghum Festival.
