| 1. WAYNOKA: Little Sahara State Park*
(EXPERT)
With sand dunes as far as the eye can see, this has been ranked by ATV Magazine
among the top 5 parks for off-road enthusiasts.
LOCATION: 4 miles S of Waynoka on SH-281.
SURFACE: Sand dune terrain.
RIDING AREA: 1,790 acres
ALTITUDE GAIN: Sand dunes range in height from 25-75
ft.
COST: Dune access fees are $7 per off-road driver
per day. Annual dune pass is also available.

2. ARDMORE: Lake Murray*
The Pear Orchard Motorcycle Use Area is on the northwest side of picturesque Lake
Murray.
LOCATION: 4 miles E of I-35 (2 miles E of the park
entrance) off SH-70.
SURFACE: Marked trails cross grassland, forest and
rolling hills.
RIDING AREA: 1,000 acres
ALTITUDE GAIN: Elevation changes from 750-820 ft.
COST: $7 per day per rider. For safety reasons,
dune buggies, jeeps and trucks are not allowed.

3. MUSKOGEE: Gruber Recreation Area*
Home to enduros, trials and hare scrambles. Open year-round; helmets are required
for ATV riders.
LOCATION: 3 miles N of Braggs on W side of SH-10.
SURFACE: Terrain ranges from rocky to dirt.
RIDING AREA: 450 acres
ALTITUDE GAIN: Elevation ranges from 500-720
ft. There are cliffs along the river bank
and 100-ft. climbs.

4. PONCA CITY: Kaw Lake
Both day-use and camping is available.
LOCATION: 8 miles E of Ponca City on SH-11,
just across from Sarge Creek Cove Recreation
Area.
SURFACE: Heavily wooded with sandy soil.
RIDING AREA: While not an especially large
area, it offers some great trail riding.

5. BEAVER: Beaver Dunes State Park (EXPERT)
Open daily 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
LOCATION: 1 mile N of Beaver on US-270.
SURFACE: Sand dune terrain.
RIDING AREA: 360 acres

6. BROKEN BOW
A rider can ride here all weekend and not cover the same trails.
LOCATION: In SE Oklahoma off SH-259, 3 miles N of
Broken Bow in the Three Rivers Wildlife Management Area.
SURFACE: Open timberland, mountains and muddy bottoms.
RIDING AREA: Hundreds of miles of back roads and
trails
COST: Must have an annual land use permit;
$16 for Oklahoma residents and $25 for out-
of-state users.

7. MANNFORD: Appalachia Bay
Locals refer to this as “Motorcycle Island.” Moderate elevation changes
keep the wooded areas interesting and a large circuit of sandy trails meander
through tall briars.
LOCATION: West of Tulsa on Keystone Lake, off SH-412.
SURFACE: Terrain is sandy and ranges from open beaches
to wooded trails.
RIDING AREA: 600 acres
