NOTE: The demolition of the south wing of Roman Nose Lodge is complete. During the renovation of the main lobby, the lodge, and the restaurant will remain closed. The cabins and other areas of the park will still be open, and lodging check-in will be located at Fairway Cottage, located across from the park office from 8am to 5pm. Roman Nose was named after a Cheyenne Chief. This resort is set amidst a beautiful canyon. Recreation activities at this state park include an 18 hole golf course, swimming pools, hiking trails, two lakes (Lake Boecher & Lake Watonga), trout fishing in season, canoeing, paddleboats, mountain biking, horse stables, and hayrides by reservation. Group camps, picnic areas, tent campsites, and RV campsites with hookups are located throughout the park. The area also offers good opportunities for fall foliage and wildlife viewing. Teepee rentals are available in the summer months. Group rates are also available.
